Results at Ashe County, Sept. 17

A fun little wet meet, or a wet little fun meet, and for a few people the third race in five days.  Also our only real race this season in which the boys and girls ran together.  (All this is based on what I heard – for all I know the results were completely fabricated, but I don’t know why anyone would do that.)  But that’s o.k., because now we have no meets until next weekend, and some people have plans with lizards and tests and won’t race until approximately Columbus Day.

The boys swept the top three places on the way to a pretty easy win – aided by the fact that several runners within the 8-14 positions on the team either missed the meet Saturday or really like courses next to trailer parks.  The girls did not have any of the top 18 runners in attendance, which resulted in an Ashe shutout, but still several decent races from people who are very new to the 5k distance.
